The year was 1992. It was our first day of school in our white and dark blue pinafour and before the bell rang for assembly, the kids were playing and running everywhere in the playground of Sekolah Sri Inai Junior Kuala Lumpur. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know anyone. I was nervous. Confused. Not sure what to do. I sheepishly walked to the swing set. Shakeil was already swinging on one of the swings. Nabilah was deciding between using it as monkey bar or a swing. 🤣 When suddenly, this bubbly girl came up to me with the biggest smile and said “Hi! I’m Ili!” All my nerves went out the window. My first day of school became all well and good because of her. On the 10th of November 2019, I witnessed one of dearest and bestest friends get married to the love of her life. Tried my very best to not cry but I couldn’t help myself. She’s nothing short of amazing and thank you Allah swt for me being to able to witness so many beautiful and meaningful moments on that day. Me and so many of your dear friends want the best for you, because throughout the years, you always took great care of us. Be it when times were tough, when we’re hungry or even just for good company. This pic was a moment before you became Mrs Kutty , and here’s my doa that you and Kutty’s marriage will always be filled with love and happiness.
